Living Tantra as a Way of Life
Welcome to LoveLore House, my home in the hills of central Portugal, where Tantra is not something we step into for a few hours, but something we explore through the rhythm of everyday life.
This Kaula week is an invitation to experience Tantra as a living practice. We practice together, prepare meals together, work gently on the land, rest under the trees, create rituals, meditate, laugh, share silence and discover what happens when practice becomes part of ordinary life. Rather than following a fixed schedule, we allow the energy of the group and the presence of each participant to guide the unfolding of the week. Every gathering is unique, and the teachings emerge from what is alive and asking for attention.
The week is based on an exchange rather than a conventional workshop model. We exchange working in the land, for dedicated teachings. Instead of separating practice from daily life, we discover how caring for the land, preparing food and creating a beautiful place together become part of the practice itself. The land nourishes us, and we offer our presence, our hands and our care in return. Tantra is received not only through exercises, but through living, working and practicing together.
Entering the Kaula
In the Tantric tradition, Kaula means the Tantra family: a community of practitioners connected not only through teachings, but through shared life. A Kaula is not simply a harmonious group where everyone is kind and comfortable. Like every real family, it is also a place where we meet ourselves. Our habits, our longings, our boundaries, our fears, our joy, our resistance and our openness all become visible in relationship with others. This is not something to avoid, but the very ground of practice.
LoveLore House calls back the ancient relation of teacher and students, as an exchange of work for work: you offer your services and care, and I offer teachings with care.
This week is open to anyone who feels called to explore Tantra beyond techniques and workshops. Whether you have years of experience or are simply curious about a more embodied and integrated path, you are welcome. If you long to discover Tantra as a household path—where spirituality and everyday life are not separate—this week offers a rare opportunity to experience that directly.
Practical Information
Location
LoveLore House, São Martinho da Cortiça, near Arganil, Central Portugal.
Accommodation
You can stay in the bell tent, bring your own tent, or reserve the caravan. The caravan is suitable for one person and costs €10 per day.
Shared Costs
Food and cooking gas are shared among the participants.
Travel
The easiest route is to fly to Porto Airport and take the bus to Coimbra. From Coimbra we will arrange a shared pickup whenever possible. If several participants arrive around the same time, renting a car together from the airport and sharing the costs is also a good option.
