Tantra is a spiritual path that is situated within the world, in connection to others and all beings. It is not the path of the hermit, closed off in a cave (although this might be part of your journey), nor a safe haven to hide from the troubles of work and relationships. The above quote of Audre Lord (who described herself as ‘black, lesbian, mother, warrior, and poet’) reminds us that we pursue the erotic not just to suss the craving in our loins, but as a source of vital power, that gives us the grounding to stand up, go out in the world, resist if necessary, surrender if possible. The erotic is the power that gets revived in connection to our Source, to the ground we grew from. To the histories that made us who we are today.

We all have to deal with these stories in our very own way. Some come with clarity, others are muddy and hard to stomach, sometimes we find ourselves standing on the wrong side of the fence, and sometimes we see that we have been oppressed or marginalized. But in all cases, we need to see clearly, connect deeply, and move from the heart into the world. To connect to ourselves through deep erotics is our gateway to the other, to fearlessly embrace the world outside.

In this workshop, we will practice tantra through the depths of this connection. We face our shadows and fears, and find pleasure in this reconnection. We become the warriors of our own freedom and the light workers for a world in confusion. On this journey, we will use tantra tools like Tantra Kriya Yoga, meditation, energetic couple and group work, breathing exercises, and insight contemplation. We will dance, and use our voices to sing ourselves into a new state of being. We will dive deep into our core to see that there is nothing there but the moving of our true Self, and when we wash back on the shore, we do so with renewed energy.

PRACTICALS:

Dates: 11-17/7. We start on Monday at 12, and end on Sunday around 16h.

Place: The Monastery Live, Solwaster (close to Spa)

Price: 450 euro for the week, including food.

Accommodation: You can sleep for free in the studio, of pay 20 euro pppn for a bed in a shared room.
