Shapeshifting is one of the classical techniques of Tantra crazy wisdom. All too often, this form of transformational meditation has been liked to drama therapy or role playing: a creative tool to work through different aspects of the self that lie hidden under the surface. Like, working with a wrathful deity to overcome or understand your underlying anger. Or meditating on the shape of a benevolent goddess, to embody her soulful qualities. But shapeshifting, or deity yoga, goes further than this. We practice becoming the other, or becoming animal, or even becoming an animate object, not only to come to a deeper understanding of our own drives and undercurrents, but rather to come to understand that we are not what we think we are. We are not just limited ego-beings, fed only by our own (his)tories and bloodlines. Through morphing our bodies with the world around us, we become aware of our sensual and existential belonging to what seems to exist outside of us.

In the shapeshifting we lose shape, we forget about our limits, we trance into other realms of understanding and relating. This is a deeply sensual and spiritual practice. And shapeshifting into the body of your partner is an unforgettable experience.

This weekend is all about shapeshifting: taking on the body of the other, or even of other beings. We shift the center of our pleasure out of our body, and into another. We transform the limits of our body-sense to include other-gendered bodies, other species, and other spaces. We journey, exchange bodies, and become other….

FOR WHOM:

This is a workshop that is open to everyone ready to open up and go truly naked to the core. You do not need to be in a couple, but it is for sure great to enter this experiment with your partner. Most important is your willingness to listen, to your own body and the body of your partner. To go deep, and not push into the highway of orgasm-as-you-know-it. To be light and experimental in your approach. To allow gates to be opened you never thought of entering…

We ask you to apply with a motivation, in which you clearly describe what you want to explore and work with in this series, what your challenges are, and what you are afraid of.

Place: The workshop takes place in Brussels, Anderlecht (metro Veeweyde).

Price: You pay 250 euros for the workshop. Food is paid at the weekend itself (50 euro per weekend).

Accommodation: You can stay over and sleep on a mattress. We provide the mattress, you bring the bedding. Price per night is 5 euros, to be paid at the venue.
