The body seems an obvious thing, we walk around with it all the time, and we do not always question its potential. Often, we only think of the body as something that needs to be fed and trained to be healthy, and pampered to look good. But we seldom take the time to experience the greater power of our ‘body electric’: the body that stretches far beyond the limits of the physical. In Tantra we consider the body to be quite fluid. Its dimensions change according to the energies that charge it, the space we decide to occupy, and the relations we are building. A Tantric body is a kind of shapeshifting body: it can take on the dimensions of the woods it walks through, and breathe through the trees. It can reach into the world, touch and be touched, far beyond the boundaries of the skin.

In this workshop, we work with the energetic bodies, in connection to one another. What does it mean to touch someone through your energetic presence? How do we experience the intimacy of our light bodies in communion? What is the power of touch, strengthened by the breath of fire?

We will be working with the Tantric tools of breath, movement, touch and voice. We work together, but you do not need a partner to participate. And though we work on intensity, you have all the space you need to define your own boundaries and allowances.
